Sunflower

She waits for the sun to rise from the East 
And she bathes in the sunbeam with delight 
Her lovely face a cut above the rest 
She makes the landscape beautiful and bright 

She sits on high like a queen on a throne 
And she presents her elegance and might 
Her strength and magnificence in full bloom 
She commands attention towards her light 

She carries her sunshine throughout her days
And she shows an enchanted radiance  
Her grace and poise in display as she sways
She undulates with the wind in a dance 

Oh Sunflower! You are the flower queen 
You make the mundane ever so golden
