Dragonfly

She emerges into the summer breeze
Hardening her slender body just right
Displaying her full elegance and grace
Flexing her iridescent wings for flight

She lives life in the moment so carefree
Scurrying across the water with ease
Discovering herself along the way
Flying to where only her heart to please

She exudes a sense of courage and poise
Exploring the wonderful world around
Braving each adventure from place to place
Showing no fear of all the things unknown

Living her life to the fullest does she
Through her courage, grace, and simplicity
