Gaze
Time stood still when I looked into her eyes
And nary a sound but my beating heart
As I was lost in her emerald gaze
She had me captivated from the start
I was on cloud nine for a little while
And my beating heart pounded in tempo
As I was enamored by her shy smile
She had me enchanted from the get-go
Time remained frozen as I held her gaze
And the world stayed silent for a moment
As I was dazzled with my heart ablaze
She had me charmed with her eyes wide open
A gaze the hues of the Aegean Sea
Like that of the Goddess Aphrodite
